Welcome to the page of Nancy Manoa who has represented Tuvalu at Commonwealth Games, one Olympics and a number of other high profile sporting events.

At the age of 19 (currently) she has come a long way and is the fastest female in Tuvalu, at the moment, in the 100 m sprint.

Considering she attended her first Commonwealth Games at the age of 13 and was the youngest competitor at the Chinese Olympics, in 2008, you must say she was born to run and represent Tuvalu. She might be young and might be small but she has brought Tuvalu to the sporting world.

Currently in hard training getting ready for the London 2012 Olympics sees her training under a scholarship in Brisbane, Australia on a daily basis to ensure she is at her best for London.

After speaking to her I must say her dedication to her sport is amazing, considering that training is not easy and a lot of times painful and in bad weather conditions, yet still she goes and trains.

I have been lucky enough to be able to interview her during her visit to Melbourne and this interview can be seen below.
